Tribute in Light
This is an as-shot image with no special effects added. It had been a rainy, foggy night with very low visibility, even down at the sight. I happened to catch this from my terrace just after 1:00 AM on the morning of September 12, 2009 - with the Canon 5D, hand-held because there was simply no time to set up a tripod. Less than a minute later, the fog bank shifted and the effect was gone. This image is available unframed as an 11" x 17" Fine Art Print on 13" x 19" paper for $350.00, including shipping; or professionally framed and shipped for $500.00

"Breakthru"
Looks like reflected light but is, in fact,
the sun powering thru an uncompleted building.

Diamonds in the sky (July 4th, 2009)
This year Macy's shifted the annual July 4th Fireworks Display to the Hudson River, allowing those of us on the West Side an unobstructed view.
If you have Quick Time - or another MPEG-4 player - installed, click for a 90-second HD video sample.
Now don't panic, depending upon your browser and connection speed it may take nearly a minute to load,
but it's spectacular video, shot at night and from a still camera - the Canon 5D. Wow, technology, when it works....
